Employees of operational customs revealed the fact of import and subsequent sale of quad bikes, marked with the trademark of the canadian company, on the territory of the Eurasian economic Union.
Quad bikes were involved in trade turnover by a belarusian business entity without the permission of the copyright holder to use the trademark. This information was confirmed by a canadian company whose intellectual property rights were violated.
The estimated cost of quad bikes was more than 200 thousand belarusian rubles.
Operational customs initiated an administrative process in accordance with part 3 of article 9.21 of the administrative Code of the Republic of Belarus (illegal use of industrial property rights). According to the court decision, the entrepreneur of the Minsk region was brought to administrative responsibility in the form of a fine of 50 basic units.
